In this playful exploration of AI-generated New Year's Eve imagery, we see how far image generation has come in just one year. From muscular Baby New Year facing off against Father Time to an entertaining series of Times Square celebrations featuring everyone from stormtroopers to dinosaurs, the AI demonstrates impressive capabilities in capturing the festive spirit of the holiday.
Hard to believe this is the second New Year's-themed edition of AI Outtakes! Last year we were still using DALL-E 3 and trying to generate versions of those old drawings of the changing of the year, featuring聽Baby New Year, and聽Father Time聽in a passing of the torch visualization.
What a difference a year makes, huh? Let's see if Recraft can generate a visual of one of the prompts from last year:

Another set of prompts we tested for that edition, but didn't end up using, focus on Times Square New Years Eve (we generated a few for the edition's comments). For this year's edition we're going to give those a shot!

AI is getting really good at generating images of New Year's Eve partiers! The training dataset for this must be massive, especially from the era of cameraphones. Let's up the degree of difficulty a bit for this next section. What happens right after the new year arrives?
