AI Outtakes, Vol. 5

Welcome to the fifth edition of AI Outtakes! This week we'll be taking a deep dive into two subjects; hands, and Where's Waldo!

Let's get to it:

(Please don't ask why I decided to add with no beard but trust me when I say that generative AI will always ignore that modifier)

That last image counts for both of this week's categories. If you ask generative AI for stock photos of people in an office setting, you are guaranteed at least two things:

1. Every male will have a beard
2. They will also be wearing an impossibly tight royal blue sportcoat

I know we hear how AI is trained on millions of images but the more I work with it, the more I wonder if all of the images tagged 'office' had the same person in them, who I'm going to start referring to as Waldo:

Generative AI loves Waldo as much as it loves phrases like "Explore the power of" and "Delve deep into". I hope you're now able to find the Waldo in the AI-generated images you encounter in your travels.
